Affiliate Website – Spotandwin.co.uk

https://spotandwin.co.uk/

Spotandwin.co.uk is my affiliate website, which I use to promote the #1 Spot the Ball competition that is BOTB (Best of the Best PLC). The website shows and teaches people the basics of spot the ball, what you can win in BOTB’s competition, and also gives more information about BOTB itself.

Most of the pages on the website have been heavily Search Engine Optimised, resulting in thousands of visitors each month. The website also has weekly timed counters to create the sense of urgency, different promotions and Call-to-Actions increasing the likelihood of a tracked conversion.

Web
Design

This website is one of the strongest examples of what I’m able to do using WordPress technically and visually. But Spotandwin.co.uk also shows how I can design website layouts and content that serves a real purpose and drives conversion; in this case new signups for BOTB.com and tracked signups for myself.

The Web Design should also be aimed at the right people with the right goal in mind, and in this case it is to inform & convert new players who are possibly completely new to spot the ball and might be wondering if BOTB is indeed a real company and if it’s worth playing in its competition.

Search
Engine
Optimisation

This website’s SEO success is probably the strongest showcase of my SEO capabilities. I’d urge you to try some of the following searches (just to name a few searches I have targeted), and note that my website sometimes even outranks BOTB’s own website on general spot the ball terminology and some brand related searches as well:

Or try one of your own that has to do either with spot the ball or BOTB – and see how my affiliate page ranks!

Content
Marketing

I’d like to point out that no matter how well you have Search Engine “Optimised” your website, if the content doesn’t deliver anything of interest or value to the traffic you have brought into the website; then your page will not rank well no matter how much you try to play the system and optimise things.

The content on Spotandwin.co.uk’s different pages and how they are targeted in my SEO efforts go very much hand in hand delivering the correct messaging and value to the right people – and this is what businesses should aim to do as well. In my case I am providing the right information to the right people: Be it basics of spot the ball to new players, quizzes they can practice with and all the way to providing information proving that BOTB is not a fake company to the skeptics.

Call-to-
Actions

As the whole Spotandwin.co.uk website is aimed at converting people and getting the tracked clicks for signups of new BOTB players, I’m making heavy use of Call-to-Actions on almost every page where appropriate. While this amount of Call-to-Actions might be a bit excessive for most types businesses, I’d just like to showcase and point out the importance of Call-to-Actions and my knowledge of such on this website.

A well designed Call-to-Action will not feel forced, but it’s more of a part of natural flow of the content that just happens to serve the website’s or the company’s goal and get the desired action from the visitor.
